Here you can find out about the work of a few members of the congregation and leadership team of the Community Church. We are gradually adding to this story of willing people generously giving their time and talents for the benefit of us all.
We have recently completed our process to find a new Church Minister. The Rev Ruth Gookey has already started her Ministry.
Our church is blessed with several ordained ministers who are either retired or who are doing non-church jobs in the community

Welcomers are the first person who newcomers meet as they enter church. That is why this is such an important ministry.
First impressions count for so much, don't you agree? If you are reading this and wondering if you will pay our church a visit, please make sure that you make contact with our welcomer in the first instance.
Please stay behind after the service for refreshment and to meet up with everyone. This is a really important time in our church life. Leave your family contact details in our visitors book so that we can remain in contact with you.
Our leadership team consists of the stewards and the church minister. The stewards are elected by our church members and each has oversight of a particular aspect of our church work.
We have a number of musicians and singers who form the worship band.
Currently we have several worship music leaders and a variety of different instrument players who make up a band depending on their availability and need.
The band usually meet together on Wednesday evening for practice and prayer, although other evenings are some times used for convenience.
Anyone who has musical or singing skills and would like to be a part of the band and its work should speak to any of our leaders after one of our services and arrange to come to a practice night.
The band has a large and varied range of contemporary and traditional songs and hymns. They are always on the look out for new material especially from current popular worship leaders and songwriters.
You can also come along to practice nights to hear the band grinding out the songs for sunday, making all the mistakes and trying to make them perfect on the day. Sometimes it's a real joy, with great laughter and experience and you would be very welcome. Make a drink of coffee and take a biscuit. Bring them one of your cookies!
There is also a need for people to work the sound system and to project song words and film clips from a laptop computer. If you are interested in this ministry please speak to Steve Potter in the first instance,
House Groups provide a great opportunity for members of the congregation to get to know each other better. Our House Groups are spread out over a wide area of Milton Keynes and we have meetings available on five different nights of the week. They usually meet every two weeks. Our groups are currently situated in Browns Wood, Shenley, Monkston and Kents Hill.
There is also a daytime group that meets in CtK prayer room on Wednesday mornings at 9.30 am.
There is contact details of the group leaders on the church foyer notice board or on our current weekly news sheet which is available as a download, click here.
